We have been busy planning the launch in January of the new Suffolk Transport Forum with discussions of who to invite and what topics to highlight at our launch conference.
Hospital transport can be a major problem – in many places the lack of good transport links leads to over crowding in the hospital car parks. So, I am really pleased that we are inviting the team behind the Nottingham Medilink service to give a presentation.
This free accessible, bus service shuttles around the Nottingham ring road taking passengers from the park and ride to the Queens Medical Centre and the City Hospital.
We are planning to use the presentation as the start point for brainstorming workshops at the conference to encoruage particpants – transport proivders and users alike – to look at transport problems and see if together we can find solutions.
